TTN Daily Links: 6/10/13

Every day I am going to try to bring in some news relating to the Titans or the rest of the NFL through daily links. If you have any comments, feel free to comment. If you hear some news I didn't pick up, please report it in the comments.

  • It appears offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains has not only scrapped the playbook of 2012 but has also "tailored" the new one of 2013 to fit Jake Locker and company.
  • Over at Music City Miracles, jlomas points out how important the run game is for a successful team and how it should impact the Titans in 2013.
  • For anyone who didn't catch the news from Thursday, longtime offensive lineman for the Titans, Eugene Amano, was waived by the team. Although he was horrendous as a center, he should be able to play as a guard for another team this season.
  • NFL Network points out the obvious: the Jacksonville Jaguars are in rebuilding mode again after hiring new head coach Gus Bradley.
  • The Indianapolis Colts are going to have a new offense with the departure of 2012's offensive coordinator Bruce Arians, who was hired as the head coach for the Arizona Cardinals. The tight ends are supposedly going to have a new role, which could lead to a break-out year for 2nd year player, Colby Fleener.
  • Houston Texans offensive tackle, Duane Brown, underwent a minor ankle surgery on Wednesday. This may not be major, but it is something that the Texans will need to monitor during the season.
  • Today is Hall of Fame quarterback, Dan Fouts's birthday. Fouts helped pave the way for a pass-oriented offense through Don Corryell's "Air Corryell" offense.
